If we talk about waterfalls, it is commonly associated with rocky roads, extensive trekkings and long hikings, as well as a habal-habal ride. But the road to Pagawayan falls is far from what you are thinking. From the main highway, you can take a habal-habal, a car, or any vehicle to take you to the said falls. The area of the waterfalls are surrounded by a healthy forest which is a good view to everybody. The way going down is not yet accessible and tourists are not yet allowed to go down for safety purposes. Yet, just watching the waterfalls from above can already give you a relaxing feeling that feels like you are welcomed by the nature wholeheartedly. The forest surrounding the falls is still untouched and virgin. You can really see the beautiful hidden treasure of Bacolod, and can hear the birds singing, and the refreshing splash of the water as it flows down from the falls.

As of today, it is rumored that the falls will be developed for it can be a source of electricity. It will then be a hydropowerplant with a nature’s park that will serve as a ecotourism park. This hydropowerplant will then help in sourcing electricity in Mindanao. Sooner, this magnificent Pagayawan falls will greatly help the Municipality of Bacolod in terms of economy and tourism for it will open and give new jobs and opportunities.
